About CCarbon

Carbon science for a more resilient tropical agriculture.

CCARBON/USP is a research center dedicated to carbon-based solutions for tropical agriculture and natural ecosystem management, based at the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ), University of São Paulo. Created under FAPESP’s Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (CEPID) program, we bring together specialists in soil, plant, animal, atmosphere and digital science to help Brazilian agriculture mitigate climate change, secure food production, and build a low-carbon economy.

Our work is organized into 12 research lines across five core programs, feeding a wider innovation ecosystem built on public–private partnership — from discovery and technology transfer to policy and public awareness.
