Projeto Title

Dissemination of research and scientific events on CCARBON/USP’s social media platforms

Abstract

Dissemination of research and events on CCARBON/USP’s social media platforms, focusing on increasing scientific visibility, strengthening dialogue with different audiences, and highlighting the relevance of the activities carried out by the center. The fellow will assist in preparing content for the website and social media, managing posts, supporting events organized by the center, and contributing to the writing of scientific articles and reports.

Project Description and Objectives

The main objective of this Scientific Journalism Fellowship – Level JC-III is to provide technical and scientific support for the dissemination of CCARBON’s work, aiming to make public the information generated and the activities carried out by the center.

The activities of the JC-III fellow will include:

  • Writing posts and blog texts for social media about events, courses, media mentions, scientific research, and books produced at the center;
  • Assisting in the management of the center’s social media posts;
  • Supporting communication efforts for partnership projects between the center and private companies;
  • Assisting in the organization and dissemination of pre- and post-event communications related to the center;
  • Writing scientific papers related to science communication and science journalism;
  • Preparing reports for FAPESP.

Candidate Requirements

Completed master’s degree in Agronomy or Journalism.

The Activity Plan involves supporting the production of content (about the team, events, projects, and publications), assisting in the creation of visual materials, and managing the center’s social media to engage with both the scientific community and the general public.
The candidate must have strong writing skills and be enrolled in a Science Journalism course, as required by FAPESP for this type of fellowship. Essential skills for this position include experience in social media communication, good interpersonal communication, and teamwork.
